The Dave Smith Prophet 12 Synthesizer is a potent 12-voice polyphonic hybrid synth. It has analog VCAs, analog Curtis low-pass and high-pass filters, and four high-resolution digital oscillators per voice. A variety of digital effects are added for sound shaping in its special “Character” section. The Prophet 12 offers a broad range of sonic possibilities, from traditional analog warmth to intricate, changing digital textures, thanks to its polyphonic step sequencer, arpeggiator, and extensive modulation capabilities.
