What does a typical day look like for you at CenterStaging?

At CenterStaging, every day is driven by music, precision, and professionalism. As Studio Manager, I lead a team of around 16 talented technicians and coordinators dedicated to creating a seamless experience for artists and production teams. From early morning load-ins to late night rehearsals, we ensure that every studio, backline setup, and audio system is performance ready.

What challenges come from managing high-profile artists & tight timelines?

One of the biggest challenges is just how fast things can change. We work with a lot of high-profile artists who have very specific needs and tight schedules, so there’s no room for error. Sessions get moved, gear requests change last minute, and we have to be ready to pivot instantly while keeping everything running smoothly.
Each client deserves the same level of attention and professionalism, so it’s all about communicating clearly and making sure my team has the information they need before the day starts.

How do you balance working with artists, production crews, and staff while keeping everyone aligned and satisfied?

Balancing the needs of artists, production crews, and our own staff is definitely one of the trickiest parts of the job. Each group has different priorities, so communication and attitude are everything. I try to stay ahead of potential issues by checking in early and often, making sure everyone knows what’s happening and what’s expected. With artists and tour teams, it’s about being flexible and understanding their creative process. Things can change on a dime, and we have to roll with it while keeping things professional and positive. I’ve learned that when people feel heard and respected, whether it’s an artist asking for a last-minute setup change or a tech dealing with a tight turnaround, everything runs smoother. My goal is to create an environment where everyone feels taken care of.

Can you share a memorable moment you’ve been part of at CenterStaging?

Absolutely! One of the most memorable moments I’ve ever had on the job was when two legendary musicians decided to play an acoustic set in our parking lot. We had set up a small outdoor rig for them, nothing fancy, just enough to give them the space and sound they wanted outside the studio environment. Watching these two icons sit on folding chairs with a couple of guitars and just play for the sheer joy of it, was surreal. There was no crowd, no production schedule, no pressure. It was raw, intimate, and incredibly human. Moments like that remind me why I love this work. Sometimes you get to witness magic that wasn’t planned, promoted, or performed for anyone except the people who happened to be there.
