The 49-key Roland SH-201 virtual analog synthesizer was first released in 2006 and is known for its easy-to-use, hands-on control. It has a two-oscillator per voice architecture with well-known subtractive synthesis parameters, making it both approachable for novices and deep enough for seasoned users. An arpeggiator, built-in effects, and an external audio input with a dedicated filter are all included. MIDI and audio can be transferred between a computer and a USB device.
