The Roland JV-80 is a digital synthesizer with 61 keys that was Released in 1992. It is a member of Roland’s well-known JV series and has a PCM-based synthesis engine that produces a variety of sounds, such as vintage synth patches and realistic acoustic instruments. Compared to some modern synths, it was more approachable thanks to its user-friendly interface, which included buttons for common functions. It was extremely expandable for a variety of musical applications thanks to its four expansion slots for SR-JV80 wave expansion boards.
