Released in 1986, the Roland JUNO-2 is a 61-key synthesizer from the “Alpha Juno” series. This analog polyphonic synth is renowned for its unique chorus effect, analog filter, and digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs). Although editing mostly uses its special “Alpha Dial,” it also has a velocity/aftertouch sensitive keyboard and 64-voice polyphony (despite being a 6-voice instrument). It can produce warm, rich pads and the traditional “hoover” sounds.
