Released in 2015, the Roland JD-Xi is a small, multipurpose “crossover” synthesizer with a mini-key keyboard and a sleek black finish. It combines two PCM-based digital synth sections, a dedicated drum section, and an analog synth section for punchy basses and leads. It offers a powerful and portable all-in-one production and performance tool with a four-track pattern sequencer, gooseneck microphone for vocoder and AutoPitch effects, and a number of built-in effects.
