The Fender Bassman 500 Bass Amp Head is a powerful and portable hybrid amplifier. It uses a Class D power amplifier and a vintage Fender “blackface” tube preamp with two 12AX7 tubes to deliver 500 watts at 4 ohms. Both an aggressive overdrive channel with an active tone stack and a warm, vintage clean channel with a passive tone stack are available in this dual-channel design. It weighs only about 16 pounds and offers a lot of volume and a variety of tones for both contemporary and vintage bass sounds.
